I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
